Benefits of hiking

What is important to remember is that kids today have very short attention spans. All the constant stimulus that surround us makes their attention feel like a hummingbird. Constantly shifting from flower to flower, hovering for a moment here then zips over there, and so on.

The actual physical exercise is also very beneficial. Kids no longer play baseball/basketball/soccer in the street every afternoon, like their parents used to.
